JanaVaidya

For doctors

Add home visits to your practice. The right way.

Home visits are not a new idea. What is new is a structure that makes them safe, legal, and sustainable for the doctor — not just convenient for the patient.

A note from the founder

"I started JanaVaidya alone from a 1BHK flat in Bengaluru. I was the receptionist, the accountant, the doctor, and my own driver. I have done more than a thousand home visits personally. If I could build this with no team and no template, any doctor — with proper training and the right support — can do this better than I did. That is exactly what we are trying to make possible."

What we give you

Everything a doctor needs to run home visits as a proper part of their practice — not an informal side arrangement.

Legal and compliance framework

Home visits sit in a regulatory grey area for most doctors. We have worked through what is required — documentation standards, consent forms, scope-of-practice boundaries — so you do not have to start from scratch.

A verified credential profile

Your degree, specialisation, and council registration are displayed to every patient before they book. You arrive at a home where the family already knows who you are and what you are qualified to do.

Booking and scheduling support

Patients book through the platform. You receive the details, confirm availability, and go. The administrative layer — confirmations, records, follow-ups — is handled so you can focus on the visit itself.

A community of practicing doctors

Over 50 doctors have worked through the platform. You are not figuring this out alone. Shared learning, case discussions, and ongoing training through the JanaVaidya Academy.

Who can join

JanaVaidya is a multi-system network. We welcome doctors across recognised systems, provided their council registration is valid and they practice within the scope their qualification allows.

MBBS General practice, acute illness, chronic disease management
BAMS Ayurvedic practice within council-registered scope
BHMS Homoeopathic practice within council-registered scope
BDS Dental assessment and oral health advice at home
Other recognised degrees Reviewed case by case — valid council registration required

Cross-system prescribing rules vary by state and are subject to ongoing legal developments. JanaVaidya follows what is lawful in each state and surfaces each doctor's actual scope on their profile.

The 2030 mission

Train 10,000 doctors in home visit practice by 2030.

Every doctor in every community — city, town, or village — should be able to integrate home visits into their practice and serve the people around them. That is the scale we are working toward.

JanaVaidya Academy

Free training for any doctor who wants to start.

Home visit protocols, patient safety, documentation standards, legal scope of practice, patient communication — structured training, open to all doctors, whether or not you are yet on the JanaVaidya platform.
